note to self linux imap webmin

note to self

when system is setup mail is stored in
/var/mail/username file
this file contains sent and draft folders

when using imap, it will read this file for the mail. any new folders/directories you create with webmin, under /home/username/mail will NOT be read by imap

also when using standard setup with procmail and spamassassin it slams the spam into a spam file.

the spam file is

/var/mail/spam

funny this is if you create a user called spam and try to use express with imap as spam you don’t see anything in the in box, but if you use webmin to read user’s mail and look at the spam user.. there is the spam… hmmm… wonder if they can make this just a little more complicated….
