setup imap to autostart
for starters, check whether imap is allowed in xinetd, as it installs by
default with Red Hat.
change the line
disable = yes
to
disable = no
in file
/etc/xinetd.d/imap
and restart xinetd (either a hard restart with /etc/rc.d/init.d/xinetd restart or
a soft one with kill -SIGUSR
