Ever need to record something on your computer exactly as it comes out of your speakers?\u00a0 Enabling \u201cStereo Mix\u201d will let you do exactly that, and here\u2019s how to do it.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, most sound cards have the ability to record whatever is being output.\u00a0 The only hang-up is accessing that recording channel, which can be done rather easily.<\/span><\/p>\n

Enable Stereo Mix<\/h3>\n

Go down to the audio icon in your system tray, right-click it, and go to \u201cRecording Devices\u201d to open up the proper settings pane.<\/p>\n

In the pane, right-click on a blank area, and make sure both \u201cView Disabled Devices\u201d and \u201cView Disconnected Devices\u201d options are checked.\u00a0 You should see a \u201cStereo Mix\u201d option appear.<\/p>\n
