You must<br \/>\nhave sendmail configured to add the FQDN to your e-mail address by either<br \/>\nusing a .forward file or an alias defined in \/etc\/aliases. If you must<br \/>\ncontinue using this alias, you will need to add the FQDN alias to your<br \/>\nexchange server mailbox settings so that it knows to accept e-mail for this<br \/>\naddress.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to disable fetchmail from handing off all &#8220;fetched&#8221; e-mail to<br \/>\nsendmail&#8230; use the &#8220;smtphost&#8221; directive in your .fetchmailrc file. This<br \/>\nwill, in essence, open an SMTP connection straight to your Exchange server<br \/>\nfor final delivery. Thus leaving the e-mail envelope (headers) intact.<\/p>\n<p>The following is my .fetchmailrc file. The smtphost entry is my internal<br \/>\nExchange server.
