this is the easiest most useful program i have ever loaded on my redhat box.<\/p>\n
just goto www.webmin.com
\nfind the download page, download to redhat box
\nin a terminal window goto the download directory, run this command<\/p>\n
Installing the RPM
\nIf you are using the RPM version of webmin, run the<\/p>\n
command rpm -U webmin-1.140-1.noarch.rpm<\/p>\n
and the install will be done automatically to \/usr\/libexec\/webmin, the administration username set to root and the password to your current root password. You should now be able to login to Webmin at the URL http:\/\/localhost:10000\/ .

now you are good to go. I installed on a 9.0 and 7.3 box. worked flawlessly on both boxes.<\/p>\n
to setup my samba stuff.. goto servers and samba windows file sharing
\nnote: i had to pick convert unix users to samba users in order to allow my windows boxes to connect.
\nclick the windows networking button to add the box to the domain.. or so you can see it in network neighboorhood.
\nnote after any changes make sure you restart the service. also if you are not seeing the box on the network, make sure the SMB service is started.
\nclick create a new share to add a share<\/p>\n
