It is very simple.<\/p>\n
Assuming that you have installed the appropriate samba packages (the
\nsamba-client packages), and that you have properly created a share on
\nthe windows machine, just run the command:<\/p>\n
mount -t smbfs -o username=foo \/\/WinServer\/share .\/smbdir\/<\/p>\n
This typically will have to be run as root.<\/p>\n
You can then read and write to the mounted directory just like any other
\nnormal local directory.<\/p>\n
If you don’t have root access, run:<\/p>\n
smbclient \/\/WinServer\/share -U foo<\/p>\n
You can then put and get files similar to command line ftp.<\/p>\n
