This universal driver is located on the Windows installation CD-ROM. Use the same driver on the client PCs as well. Then connect using the same directions in the sections above.<\/p>\n<p>Follow these steps to load the universal HP Deskjet printer driver (HP Deskjet 550C printer).<\/p>\n<p>The Windows installation CD-ROM may be required for this procedure. Have it available during this procedure:<\/p>\n<p>   1.<\/p>\n<p>      From the host PC, or a client PC, select Start, Settings, and Printers.<br \/>\n   2.<\/p>\n<p>      Select Add Printer to launch the Add Printer Wizard.<br \/>\n   3.<\/p>\n<p>      Select Next.<br \/>\n   4.<\/p>\n<p>      Select Local Printer then Next.<br \/>\n   5.<\/p>\n<p>      Under Manufacturers, select HP. Under Printers, select HP Deskjet 550C Printer. Select Next. If prompted for the Windows installation CD-ROM, insert it into the CD-ROM drive, and click OK. Ensure that the CD-ROM drive letter (for example, D:) is selected.<br \/>\n   6.<\/p>\n<p>      Under Available Ports, if this is the host PC, select the port to which the unit is attached, for example, LPT:1. If this is a client PC, select Add Port, and Browse for the host PC address. Double-click the address; then double-click the shared printer. Select Next.
