Type in \u201c<strong>regedit<\/strong>\u201d and press Enter.<\/li>\n<li>Click to view the \u201c<strong>File<\/strong>\u201d menu. From the pull-down menu that appears, select the option \u201c<strong>Connect Network Registry<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>A dialog search box \u201c<strong>Select Computer<\/strong>\u201d appears. Browse the Active Directory to find the remote\/ distant server or type the name of the distant PC within the text box. You may also click on the \u201c<strong>Advanced<\/strong>\u201d button in order to search the remote computer.<\/li>\n<li>After selecting the remote computer, click on \u201c<strong>OK<\/strong>\u201d button. A node representing the network registry of the remote or distant computer will be shown within Registry Editor with registry keys \u201c<strong>HKEY_USERS (HKU)<\/strong>\u201d and \u201c<strong>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (HKLM)<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Just navigate to the below mentioned registry key:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Terminal Server<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Within the right pane, find a <strong>REG_DWORD<\/strong> value by the name \u201c<strong>fDenyTSConnection<\/strong>\u201d, double-click on it and alter its value data from (the default value) \u201c<strong>1<\/strong>\u201d (which means that RD is disabled) to \u201c<strong>0<\/strong>\u201d (which means that RD is enabled).<\/li>\n<li>Now, in the command prompt, issue the below mentioned command to reboot or restart the remote\/ distant computer.<strong>shutdown -m \\\\hostname \u2013r<\/strong>\n<ul>In the above command, you need to replace \u201chostname\u201d with actual name of the distant\/ remote computer.<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You have now enabled the Remote Desktop on the remote\/ distant computer and the default RD listening port will now allow any incoming RDC (Remote Desktop Connection).
