Method Two<\/a><\/h2>\n

This second method uses the wildly popular\u00a0<\/span>Hirens Boot CD<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>and an included utility from Nirsoft called Produkey which can retrieve Windows and also Office keys from a an offline Windows system.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0<\/span>Download Hirens Boot CD<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>if you don\u2019t already have it and\u00a0<\/span>burn to a CD<\/a>, or if you want to,put Hiren on a USB stick<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2. Boot the CD or USB, choose the Mini XP option and wait for the Windows desktop to load.<\/p>\n

3. Click on the Hiren menu in the system tray and navigate to Passwords \/ Keys -> Product Keys -> ProduKey (Windows Key Viewer).<\/p>\n

4. When Produkey loads press\u00a0<\/span>F9<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>to open the Select Source window. Click on the second option down \u201cLoad the product keys of external Windows installations from all disks currently plugged to your computer\u201d and then click\u00a0<\/span>OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Windows and Office keys will then be displayed for you to write down or save to a text file.<\/p>\n
