If the computer <br \/>\nstarts normally, reinstall an additional module. Continue until you have <br \/>\nidentified a faulty module or reinstalled all modules without error.<br \/>\nIf available, install properly working memory of the same type into your <br \/>\ncomputer.<br \/>\nIf the problem persists, see &#8220;Contacting Dell&#8221; in your Owner&#8217;s Manual <br \/>\nfor instructions on obtaining technical assistance.<\/p>\n<p>A C and D yellow: A possible expansion card failure has occurred.<br \/>\nDetermine if a conflict exists by removing a card (not the video card) <br \/>\nand then restarting the computer.<br \/>\nIf the problem persists, reinstall the card that you removed, remove a <br \/>\ndifferent card, and then restart the computer.<br \/>\nRepeat this process for each card. If the computer starts normally, <br \/>\ntroubleshoot the last card removed from the computer for resource <br \/>\nconflicts (see &#8220;Resolving Software and Hardware Incompatibilities&#8221; in <br \/>\nthe Owner&#8217;s Manual).<br \/>\nIf the problem persists, see &#8220;Contacting Dell&#8221; in your Owner&#8217;s Manual <br \/>\nfor instructions on obtaining technical assistance.<\/p>\n<p>A and C yellow: A possible video card failure has occurred.<br \/>\nIf the computer has a video card, remove the card and reinstall it, and <br \/>\nrestart the computer.<br \/>\nIf the problem still exists, install a video card that you know works <br \/>\nand restart the computer.<br \/>\nIf the problem persists or the computer has integrated video, see <br \/>\n&#8220;Contacting Dell&#8221; in your Owner&#8217;s Manual.<\/p>\n<p>A and D yellow: A possible floppy or hard drive failure has occurred.<br \/>\nReseat all power and data cables and restart the computer.<\/p>\n<p>A is yellow: A possible USB failure has occurred.<br \/>\nReinstall all USB devices, check cable connections, and then restart the <br \/>\ncomputer.<\/p>\n<p>\nB C D yellow: No memory modules are detected.<br \/>\nReinstall all memory modules and restart the computer.<br \/>\nTo eliminate the possibility of a faulty memory connector, remove all <br \/>\nmemory modules, reinstall one memory module (if the computer supports a <br \/>\nsingle module), and then restart the computer. If the computer starts <br \/>\nnormally, move the memory module to a different connector and restart <br \/>\nthe computer. Continue until you have identified a faulty connector or <br \/>\nreinstalled all modules without error.<\/p>\n<p>B and D yellow: Memory modules are detected, but a memory configuration <br \/>\nor compatibility error exists.<br \/>\nEnsure that there are no special memory module\/memory connector <br \/>\nplacement requirements.<br \/>\nVerify that the memory modules that you are installing are compatible <br \/>\nwith your computer.<br \/>\nIf the problem persists, see &#8220;Contacting Dell&#8221; in your Owner&#8217;s Manual <br \/>\nfor instructions on obtaining technical assistance.<\/p>\n<p>C and D yellow; A possible expansion card failure has occurred.<br \/>\nDetermine if a conflict exists by removing a card and then restarting <br \/>\nthe computer.<br \/>\nIf the problem persists, reinstall the cards that you removed, remove a <br \/>\ndifferent card, and then restart the computer.<br \/>\nRepeat this process for each card.
